National Safety Week

National Safety Week 2024 !

The Central Institute of Fire & Safety Management is celebrating National Safety Week in 2024! The theme “Aware Personnel Safe Personnel” sounds very appropriate and emphasizes the importance of raising awareness for safety among the Working personnel and also gives a glimpse to the aspiring ones. It is concerning to hear that accidents in India are underreported, but it’s commendable that efforts are being made to address this issue.

2540 Injurious accidents were reported in Table 5.2 of REPORT ON STATISTICS OF FACTORIES 2019 of LABOUR BUREAU MINISTRY OF LABOUR & EMPLOYMENT GOVERNMENT OF INDIA which includes Men & Women.

2661 Injurious accidents were reported in Table 5.2 of REPORT ON STATISTICS OF FACTORIES 2018 of LABOUR BUREAU MINISTRY OF LABOUR & EMPLOYMENT GOVERNMENT OF INDIA which includes Men & Women.

The statistics show an alarming number of Injurious accidents occured, 2540 in the year 2019  and 2661 in 2018; as reported in the report of Statistics of Factories by the Labour Bureau, Ministry of Labour & Employment,  Government of India highlight the need for increased focus on Safety measures.

By organising events and promoting awareness during National Safety Week, the Central Institute of Fire & Safety Management can play a crucial role in educating individuals about safety protocols and precautionary measures. It’s crucial to equip personnel with knowledge and skills so they can prevent accidents and ensure their own safety as well as that of others. I hope this year’s National Safety Week proves successful in spreading awareness about safety among personnel as well as the citizens of India. By working together towards creating a safer environment, we can strive to reduce accidents and promote a culture of safety across India.
